Check out Colonial Downs this season folks. Mainly turf racing with full fields are expected throughout the 5 week season. We've had a few rough years here in VA with horse racing, but it looks like things are definitely turning for the better. Hope you get a chance to support my home track.

PS...Today is opening day.

Jim,
Looking forward to the meet. So, do you think they will be able to afford a camera for the finish line this year? :D

How in the heck do you all handicap all those turf races on that funky goat ranch of a track (hills and stuff)????

I'll admit that the turf is not the paved highway that Lone Star is but it seems to play very fair. In fact, if any bias it is towards early and pressers in the second flight early of the race. In all seriousness, the turf course has been commented on by most of the horsemen that have raced there as one of the best.

Now if your really looking for a hilly course....have you been to Kentucky Downs?

Maybe you got the wrong track Glen...CNL is very exclusive, it's the only track I know have where you need a user id and password to get into their website. What's up the that or is it only me that gets the request for password?

Mike, I had the same problem some where else. You may need to check for new windows updates if you are using IE.

Mike,
try 6.0. At first it didn't work and I downloaded betscape...but 6.0 seems fine now. If that doesn't work you can download netscape and you will probably go in without any problems.

There is a java engine you need for IE. Should download automoto with IE6.
Maybe try going to preferences and turning off the java enabled buttons. Bottom line is....the person that built the web site didn't do a very good job. Probably used a can piece of software.
