In htr2001 when I go to select my own pacelines is tere a way to select one paceline for early speed and a different paceline for final time or late velocity?

Thanks

Doug

Yes you can do that now in HTR2001 Doug. Go to the "PP's - Velocity" screen and look over each horse's early and late f/p/s numbers, select your pacelines accordingly. There is a marker for 'top' Fr1 (Ev) and A/P with the ">" to help find the horse's best efforts in those two categories.

To find pacelines for fastest final time, just peruse the speed figures in any of the PP screens. But the A/P 'top' marker will usually point that out as well.

For Late Velocity, there is no marker - but maybe I can add one if it will help you. For now, look over the L/P column for each horse's f/p/s and select the line with the highest L/P.

PL mode = 0 is the key

You may also select multiple lines for the same horse. As soon as HTR2001 senses that you picking your own lines, it will switch you to Paceline Mode (0) automatically. Stay in PL mode (0) to view your handywork in the Velocity Plus screen. Feel free to change and re-select as often as desired. I'm adding some functionality to the program to make this a quicker action.

Ken,

Thanks for explaining that to me. Will fiddle with it tonite and hopefully breeze right thru otherwise I'll have to ask more questions.

Thanks,

Doug

Doug and Ken,

I maybe wrong but I think Doug is asking a different question than you responded to Ken. Again only Doug knows, so please correct me if I am wrong.

I believe Doug would like to pick part of a paceline to represent the early portion of a race and another paceline to represent the late part of a race(rather than two pacelines that are averaged for calculations).

Again I have a tendency to read things into a post, so please correct me if I am wrong Doug.

Bill (Hdcpr) re: Doug Q/A

Unable to offer the capability of extracting some of the f/p/s from one line and some from another, if that is what Doug was asking, then the answer is "not available".

Pacelines used in velocity represent the horses real time energy distribution. Using the best early performance and then adding in his best late effort from another line would not be logical as the horse is incapable of doing both 'bests' in the same race.

I thought Doug wanted to review all horses based on their best Early line. Then re-pick the lines for each entrant based on the best L/P. Looking at those two separate printouts might provide some insight into which horses have the most pace adaptability and overall strength.

Hdcpr is usually right though, so forgive me Doug I blew too much smoke in my earlier answer! Please clarify if you wanted something different.

Ken I suppose I can find it in me to forgive you.

Hdcpr, thanks for picking up on that. Was beginning to think I was a total idiot (not just a plain ole idiot) last night while trying to figure it out.

Thanks again to both,

Doug
