Had a $59 winner on day 3 or 4 & 1 whopping 4.60 hit about 2 wks. ago.

I was looking at a spreadsheet today with a longshot 7% play with 30% profit. I had 1100 horses entered & as I scrolled down I counted the longest gap between winners--83 straight losers!! Makes me glad the month will run out while I still have a + ROI:)

I was playing around with ESD's +10 & found one great scenario for 9/1+ horses but when I checked the same play @ 4/1-8/1 they went 1/49. I expected to see the ROI disappear @ lower odds but figured that the win % would go up, not disintegrate. With a slight modification, though, the 2/1-7/2's did very well so I have some confidence that the 9/1+ win % isn't a fluke. Just thinking 2% of the bank is the max on anything less than a 25% hit rate in the db.

I couldn't hit water if I fell out of a boat these last 2 weeks, but this was fun. I agree that there were some great exotics to be had among the picks, wish I'd started playing them earlier.

Maybe after Vegas Hurrikane can think up a new contest. I think Hurrikane should get to speak after Tommy C now:cool:

MtKen......hope I got your roi right. Agree this was fun. Had it been for $130k like Tommy C's contest I would have "sat on it" when had 1.97 roi after 24 races. Course had it been for that I would never have gotten to 1.97:)

Instead of a contest after LV maybe we should just pick a race and submit one or two picks each just to get a consensus for exotics. If we all disagree one can "pass" the race and when we agree then whack it. Or maybe vice/versa?
