An unplanned upgrade of HTR2001 has been submitted to Rick on Thursday morning.

The date on the newest version will read: "Feb 12, 2002"

If the two bugs below do not effect you, then there is no hurry to upgrade.

1) Some Results Charts were crashing (recent dates only) when the user attempted to view the chart in the program. It appears there has been a minor format change, but it doesn't matter, I fixed it in HTR2001 and all charts can be viewed. I'll have to further investigate the DOS programs to see what effect this will have.

2) A bug in the Layoff column of the Export files has been fixed.

HTR2001 is a work in progress - you may discover new additions to the program throughout - including the Xscreen.

Ken........DOS program was crashing on results view for Tuesday MNR. Was able to view the results through spacebar "text" so didn't worry about it. Figured it was a one day data abberration since it has not happened since.

It also "exported" with no problem.

******P.S. Hou and Lrl on 02/13 are crashing today.

Ken,
Result charts caused crashing of TUP for the 12th and
TP Aq and Hou for the 13th.

Downloaded the 2001 update and ran. Above still crashed.

Deleted the above dates. Downloaded the above again and
still crashed.

Should note that FG for the 12th never crashed. Could it be
an error in the HDW data?

Ron at HDW says the problem with the charts was caused by Access date formatting when he switched to Access XP on Feb 5. He made a correction for us.

He is going back to the previous format and all charts from Feb 5 - present will be re-formatted and thus available for viewing in the DOS programs.

Please download your charts again on Thurs night and delete or over-write the old ones from Feb 5 until now if you use HTR. I do not think the HTR4MSA was affected because the header date is not used in processing the chart for data - just the horse names.

HTR2001 can handle the charts either way now. No need to download them again if you are using HTR2001 to read the charts.
