Finding quite a few races where jky/rs helps to pinpoint a false favorite or at least help give the confidence to throw out a heavily bet animal.
Example from last night at MNR WHEN Dana Whitley was on heavily favored P style horse. Her record:
RS.....ST.....WIN.....PCT.....IV
F.......6.......1......17.....1.00
E......32.......8......25.....1.55
P......51.......1.......2.....0.17
S......39.......5......13.....1.67
R......11.......1.......9.....1.87
This lady does not do well in dirt sprints on mid-pack horses. One for 51 and now 1 for 52.
Watched race closely and two jocks on longshots
boxed her and would not let her out. Dana is very
popular with the fans but apparently the other jocks "get even" when they get a chance.
I also got even with a nice $14.60 winner which I would have diluted in the past by "hedging" with Dana's horse. Now had the confidence to pitch her out.
