Hey Guys,

been fooling around with the trainer numbers in impact.........been concentrating on races that the trainer has a 400 pts and higher........if i'm reading it right the higher the number the stronger the trainer is in that kind of particular race...........then i check the total points in impact and see where he rates and also check the E-Diff............then i check the horse in the htr consenses and if i feel he has a shot and the odds are good i bet him.................just caught a $ 22.00 horse in the 3rd at delaware using the method i described above..........my question is can anyone run a check on how well the trainers that have a 400+pts are doing far as win % and roi ?............. i have hit some nice ones in the past week at delaware........i believe the key is looking for value............i use 3-1 myself.............thanks for the help !!!!!!

Ditto on Glen's comment. Also believe Hurrikane has done a lot of work on trainer impact numbers by range. Perhaps he will report in shortly.

Nice catch Wiz..I was hard on the 1 myself but didn't play the exacta..mud has me leary I guess.

these 400+ trainers are as steady as you can get. No matter what you do to them..give them lousy jockies..lay there horses off for 100-150 days..it doesn't matter..they are consitantly in the neighborhood or 30% wins and 60% itm.
You have to have them in your exotics. The most profitable play I have found is laying their horses off over 100 days and playing to win.
The biggest problem with these guys is they get bet down to nothing a lot. You are right that you have to wait for value.

The most profitable trainers I have found are the 200-300 group. these guys are good..and if you know when they are going to pull the trigger you get nice payoffs..you have to follow them regualarly..and it seems jockey change is a key.

Good luck with the rest of DEL...I've had 4 nice winners up there today and 2 place payoffs over 10.00. completely different from yesterdays disaster.
