For the first time ever I did not join the Crazies on Black Friday. Yep. Slept in. Is this my first step toward sanity?? Highly unlikely! Probably has more to do with my age than anything else!

I was tempted mind you. What I am in the market for is a Tablet. Not just for me, but for my 2 sons as well. Would love to hear some feedback from anyone who has taken the plunge on a tablet at this point. I am pretty much set that the Acer Iconia that Ken has reviewed is where my personal interest has fallen (it MUST run HTR, no ifs, ands, or buts about it!!). But for my 2 sons the Android systems would do the trick. I have gone to Best Buy to "touch" a lot of them. The Samsung Tab 10.1 impressed me quite a bit. Definitely like the screen size, andI may be wrong, but their 7" screen didn't seem to flip from protrait to landscape....might be only usable in prtrait mode?? I liked that the entire unit "vibrated" as you hit each letter of the keyboard, letting you know that you actually "hit" a key stroke (big deal for those of us who watch the keyboard as we type!).

Would like to hear any and all pros or cons from any experience any of you have had with tablets. Let 'er fly!!! Thanks in advance!!

Now you did it.

I thought I knew what I wanted....not now.

Knowledgeable's here advise the Toshiba tablet, but
that w7 video was very impressive!

I was with some business guys who were interested in the new tablets and looking forward to not lugging laptops all over the country. They also were discussing which one....? They all seemed to be leaning toward Apple, but that won't do us, will it?

If their business is cloud based, Apple will be fine for them, but Android would also do the job. If they need tools like Word and Excel and have anything like an Access database which requires hard drive access, they will need a Windows machine.

I agree that the Windows interface is definitely 3rd out of the bunch right now. Microsoft definitely seems to be dragging their feet in this market. They seem to be putting more time into phones at this point.
