A while back on one of the forums, there was a discussion of HTR's compatibility with iPad. I am using TeamViewer for remote access, but I thought Ken had mentioned a newer, more direct access approach. Can someone point me in the right direction on this?

Thanks
Valerie

Val, i Pad does not have a user friendly storage feature (direct access hard drive) to download and save the racefiles. Also, it is not compatible with Windows software (necessary for HTR). But at least one user has reported buying a tablet PC with Win7 that worked great with HTR. I'm waiting until Christmas to see if these Windows tablet computers are viable and get one to recommmend to HTR subscribers.

Plan "B" would be to produce a mobile click-and-read access to HTR reports online from our Subscriber Zone, which could be utilzed from Internet ready device including phones and IPads, but those are very limited and scratches are not removed. No interaction is possible and can't use it for research as it would be "read only".

We had a highly successful "read only" sheet at the Stardust for years. The k2 rating is ideal for such a product because it does not change with scratches and does not change with user interaction such as PL selection. The report would be 'static' with several columns for enhanced handicapping.

Read more about k2 in the upcoming Sept newsletter out after Labor Day.
