Treasure Island Aug 19 Tourney

TREASURE ISLAND -- Treasure Island, the new home of the 2012 Daily Racing Form/National Thoroughbred Racing Association National Handicapping Championship, will host its first NHC qualifier Aug. 19 and 20. The Wager and Win contest will have a $1,000 entry fee and will be limited to the first 100 entrants.

If anyone reading this is competing or has info, please let us know the news and results.

My sources yesterday got the wrong info on how many people were signed up.

A very dismal turnout of about 27 people is the final count.

Entry fee of $1000 probably a little to high and not much advertising.

The NTRA has done a good job with that set of PDF links and they seem to update them weekly.

But it is still unfortunate that we have to hunt for contest results long after they are over. There are some cases where we literally would never find out who won if it wasn't for someone from our bbs having been there to report in.
