I just logged in and saw that the "youngest member" was Ed Bain. Welcome! Look forward to any suggestions you might have in using export to Access capability with keeping track of strong layoff and claim maneuvers! (I know we get basic info in our trainer's report).

Congrats to contest winners and contestants, wish I could have played with. Cell phone hookup just doesn't cut it....

Best of luck to all HTR users at DRF contest. Go get 'em!

And finally, Ken, I saw Tom Brohammer this past weekend at Gulfstream Park, and he wanted me to pass on his warmest regards to you - says it has been far too long.

Nice group here,

Neil

It's not the tide that's giving me fits here, h'cane - it's the bloody sand! Stronach must have gotten a trainload for Christmas. I've had two - what I thought were excellent - wire-to-wire shots that were done in by the heavy track; viz, Wynand (1/9, 7th) and Pensglitter (1/20, 6th). Pletcher says the track is playing some 11 lengths slow, and is threatening to move his horses. I've seen 3 horses break down. Track variants have been very high and it hasn't rained for 10 days. Winners are coming back covered in sand. Turf has been drying out, and you saw your first w-w turf winner Monday in a very nice filly in what may have been a bargain race, and one to follow:
Daredda Dabetta had the most outstanding on-track appearance of a horse I've seen since Reraise. She was claimed out of this race by Team Canonie, a very good judge of horseflesh.
As for tides - well, if you don't think they have an effect at Monmouth, Tampa, and Del Mar, fine.
