We have been trying to figure out why a few people, experienced users, suddenly got error messages this week when they used the 'download cart' from the HDW website.

What version of Windows are you using? Did any updates come in lately? Which Browser, is it Internet Explorer 8.0 or maybe the newer IE 9.0?

Rick and I tried the download cart with Win7 and it works fine for us. So we are trying to find out what it is common with those that have this problem.

I'm guessing that 90% of HTR users download using the software "Download" button or the File Rat. There is no problem with those. The other 10% still use the HDW site and Java applet downloading cart; and all at once, about six of you reported this problem - so something must have changed. Ron tells me the Java expiration is not the issue.

I always use the HDW site to download, and absolutely no problem with XP or Win7.

I also used the HDW site and just retried it with same error message...download from HTR software works fine. Confusing but not shut out.

I'll verify all Java updates are current.

Ken,

This is an Acer netbook I use infrequently. It suits my needs though rarely gets current updates as I've opted out of automatic.

I just installed the latest Java for XP, and bingo!, all HDW and HTR downloads work seamlessly. Hope this helps your end; the other clients with similar problems.

Perhaps I don't say it often enough, HTR is a service provider nonpareil.

All the best, Mark.
