Way to go everyone.
The rule is 20 selections per weekend. A few of you shot yourself in the foot by not submitting alternate selections.
You can submit alternates in a race like this:
Ricks, 1/13/02, FG, 1, 1, Alt 3
The Alt 3 goes into the remarks section. When I add the results I mark all scratches. After I add results I look at all the selections for scratches. If there is a scratch that has an alternate listed, I change the selection to the alternate. If there is no alternate selected I delete the selection.
I don't remove scratches until I get the charts from Equibase. This is why you might see more than 20 as total bets.
You can also submit alternates as additional selections. Turn in 25 selections, with the last 5 being alternates. As always I take the selections in the order they are submitted.
Watch the post times. The rule is five minutes to post for the bulletin board. If you cut it too close, like closer than 5 minutes, and someone protest your selection, your winner could be disqualified. And I know that no one wants that.
The email selections need to be submitted before the beginning of racing so I can get them posted to the discussion group.
