For some early returns on the contest go to

Looks like a few of them had that $45.00 winner.
Remember the contest is based on 40 selections over two weekends. I only have the results posted for those tracks that I can get the charts from Equibase.
Looks like still 6 tracks going tonight.
Right now my charts only show those that have a win under their belt.

better double check mine...it shows 21 bets...I had 3 scratches today and replaced them with new choices. It's a day full of seconds....out of 18 run, I'm 1-4-3. OUCH!

I am just waiting for the chart for the 7th race at SA to scratch your bet.
I'll get there sometime in the near future.

rick,
didn't have time to check all of my races. I noticed you had me for 19 races so I posted anouther thinking one was scratched. If if that's not the case just ignore it..

I just had your name with a "c" in one line. If it had won I would have noticed it before.
Going to have to do a query that does a count for each name so I can find those mistakes quicker.

All the results are in for the first weekend.
Let me know if there are any problems.
Hope everyone had fun. Rest up for next weekend.

Nice job by those sitting on top! So far it's been fun...have got something I found that I am gonna have Ken test...maybe it's nothing...

Yeah, been lots of fun. Lots of crazy stuff can happen still. If someone lands a $50 winner they will be on top. A $100 winner cold steal the show. It's only halftime and there is still another half to play. Should come down to the wire...

Ken put a $50 cap on winners, but it sure doesn't take too many of them to keep someone near the top.
Good luck and good handicapping to all.

Contest is going well so far. We have some of the toughest and most experienced tournament players on the planet at HTR, so this is one tough little event to win. All of you are congratulated for taking on the challenge!
This is our first try at such a thing - nothing will go perfectly the first time and there will inevitably be bugs, mistakes and complaints made. But as long as the outcome is entirely honest from everyones perspective, the tournament is a success in the end.
Big kudos to Rick for his monitoring of the contest and especially for that excellent result board. They don't have anything like at the big Las Vegas tournaments - really cool, makes it more exciting. I am sending the $10 contest donations to Rick today, with much thanks from all of us.

Ken, What do you think of doing this same thing while in Vegas this year....would the casino allow this? Would be cool to sit with others discussing the picks.....would be a totally optional thing.
...just a thought!

The Vegas thing sound interesting if I can stay away from the coctail waitresses.
Dittos to Rick....great work!

If you are talking about the cocktail waiteress at the Stardust then there should be no problem Hurrikane. Most of them have been working there since the invention of silly putty. Now if you are talking about the waiteress at the Orleans, you have a point.

Contest at the Stardust sounds like a great idea. We will do it among ourselves and no one will question the legality there. In past years we have pooled (wasted) our money on the p6 carryover and never won. Might as well have a contest instead so at least one of us will keep the money in the end.
Vegas waitresses love younger men. But at the Stardust the gals consider TommyC and TomCat as 'younger men', so Glen has a good point!

Ken I don't know, but I think those stardust cocktail gals are smarter than you think. They know who the big contest winners are!!!!
Right TommyC and Tomcat,

Nice comback Bill (hdcpr)! Tommy and TomCat have both had remarkable runs in the last 2 years - in fact the 'Cat just polished off a big pick3 at GP last weekend that paid for his entire Florida vacation. The truth be told, the girls in Vegas only care about one issue, and it is not age or looks, 'Benjamins' ($100 bills) are what make the man in glitter gulch.
