heera,

creating Beyer speed figures for races outside Canada and USA is impractical. Beyer would be selling them in Hong Kong, Australia and Europe if they could be computed. He has written about his trips to consider it.

There are many logistics that make it difficult

= Turf races do not translate well with speed figures, especially those over 9 furlongs (1 1/8 miles)

= Less Frequent racing at the same track; you need "pars" to work with Beyer figures and lots of races at the same distance/surface/class level to get an accurate average time.

= Timing issues; surprisingly, most other countries have even worse timing than we with grass races and often no fractions

I'm not familiar with horse racing in India, but it likely follows the British model, and that would difficult for Beyer figures.

Hello Heera,

You might want to try "Nick Mordin on Time" which is based on European racing and might be more what you need than Beyers.

Good luck!
