Looks like Canada is going to get into online wagering. Wonder if US players can use this might me nice alternative to off shore.

Looks like TVG, Magna, Youbet, and Autotote have applied for home wagering in CA.
I think the CA law requires licensed companies to keep wagering accounts safe such that should the companies go under the monies in wagering accounts will be held harmless and retuned to bettors. I know in other threads there is/was concern about money in a UBET account should they go under.

Good luck to all in the contest that starts today.

Thanks for the link Mike. Where do you get all this stuf??? LOL <g>.

OJC rules....kinda. I really have enjoyed useing them since there is no IRS hit for scoring a $600 plus exotic score. Only problem w/ them right now is they do not offer the same wagers/each race as the regular track does. For example, they don't have P3 in every race like a SoCal track might have or offer a P4 and so on. Once they can get on the same page as the regular track and perhaps get some more $ into their pools, I might start using them full time. Sounds like internet wagering is going to get them into the right direction.

Actually, Woodbine (OJC) already has a pilot program for internet accounts. It's suppossed to mimic their phone system for now and works just fine. You ahave to make a request to be one of the users. I'd be interested in knowing what California intends to require as safeguards for customer funds, if anyone knows this.
