First, i want to thank everyone who attended the seminar, it was an overflow group again with more than 60 people in the room, we ran out of handouts and chairs. A very enthusiastic and fun group. Extra appreciation to those that came from all around the country to attend. As I plan the seminar, starting in January each year, i'm aware of those who will be traveling a long way (and not staying for the contest) and try to create some "ooophm" for you to take home so you know it was worth your while to make the trip out.
Much gratitude to our hosts Donnie N. and Mike Mayo, great job. Also a big thanks to our helpers and tech support MikeDee, John "dawgfan" Buls, Ernie, Rick and John O File Rat. Also, Donnie's son Jake, making his first trip to Vegas, was a big help us and good luck to him as Iowa starts its football season (he's on the cheer squad, but is built like a linebacker)
I spoke to Bob Scucci, the top boss at Coast race & sports and Carol Boyd, the racebook manager at the Gold Coast. We look good for next year - assuming they schedule the Gold Coast tourney again. It appears to me that the Coast is satisified with the turnouts to their contest right now, even though the numbers are lower than in past years. There is a new paradigm for Vegas = keep your best customers coming back. And with horse racing, they focus on locals.
There will be a summary of the seminar events and my complete handout set posted on the bbs as well as added to the E-Book. Rick is driving back from Vegas right now and will be back Tuesday afternoon, so look for announcements for everything new on Wed morning.
