Anyone know of any website where you can just get the audio of the races?
I am convinvced that video is not possible with the current crappy internet we have.
I would be happy to just hear the races until someone comes up with the technology to actually show video.

Donnie,

THANK YOU!!!!!!!
This is a GREAT site. I was really fed up with the miserable excuse for the "visual" feed always
stoppng, skipping, etc.
Just like the old days of OTB - aaaudio only, and everyone in the parlor would stand an face the list of entries on the wall. Some would even push to get to the front. I used to stand and face the crowd and one gu told me i was weird!

Thanks again.

Anyone else use seelivehorses.com?
I have been using it and then today it is absolutely dead - not one track works.
Windows Media pops up and then nothing.
Went to YouBet to try (last resort) and they are worse than ever. Could not watch more than 10 seconds! of video on six tracks I tried. The tech help told me they don't have enough bandwidth to handle the customers today. What a crock! they don't have enough customers to make money now and they don't have the technology to service the few they do have.
Anyone want to bet how long before this bunch on incompetants goes under?
Great internet today - can't watch one race at any track.
I have road runner, 900mz, 128megs, and it's not enough.
I was once convinced that the internet was the wave of the future - looks like it's already past its prime. What good is it if it only works in some areas?
I have had it with horse racing on the net. It is just not any fun anymore.

Bulldog:

If you open up an E-horse account they have links to the tracks with audio/video.
Penn has video for 5-10 tracks daily & Philly has video for a few tracks.

I would recommend TVG if you can get a dish.

Links are (I think): www.pennational.com.

www.philadelphiapark.com or www.racingchannel.com. You may need a Phillyphonebet account to access their video.

www.betehorse.com.....If you're interested in an E-horse account let me know cuz I 'll get a bonus if you sign up. They give you a rebate of 2-5% every week.

The other thing you can do is find the track's homepages, most of them have audio/video links on their sites now. You can probably get them from the about.com horse site---there is a link on the HTR home page.

Hard to understand. I've been on you bet allday I had problmes with GP and SA a lot of stop and start didn't try AQU.

The overload might be due to CA customers since they can now wager with Magna or TVG, probably watching on their free Youbet account and wagering on TVG or Magna.

Did you try Magna express bet, If you have a call-a-bet account you can register with it. You can click on the video if the track offers it. Not real clear but better then nothing.

Mike,
I have a Call-a-Bet Account but when I go to Xpressbet, they only ask for credit card info-I don't want ot open another new account. None of my credit cards can be used for adding money to on-line wagering anyway (My money, and Big Brother tells me what I can do with it!!! Makes me LOVE Billy the Kid!) How do you get XpressBet to recognize your Call-a-Bet account??

when you sign up put in your acct number and fill in all the other info but don't put in a credit card. I didn't give them one either. After you fill out the form it says to send it to them, but don't do that either. All you are doing is giving them your cab account and seting up your user id and pswd.

Speaking of YouBet...I have not been able to get video at Cable Modem speed for about 10 days. When I cut the speed back to 56k I get the "postage stamp" video. Anyone else noticed this?

For several months prior to this I got good video on my cable modem and YouBet.

maybe you should talk to your cable comany to see if they have done something different. I have a DSL and I have been getting high speed with no problems. For the past few days GP has been bad, it is high speed but alot of stop and start and yesterday SA was the same, but the other tracks have been fine. I use it every day

I think PC pit stop can check your actual thruput, have you checked it when you can't get high speed from ubet?

Mike: Thanks for the reply. Only YouBet has been giving me a problem with high speed video. For instance, I have no trouble running high speed from Santa Anita or Gulfstream Park web sites. I have been using them and it is not a big deal...until I want to bet and watch a YouBet track that does not have any alternative high speed output.

Guess I'll need to contact YouBet. Incidentally, I have the same problem with YouBet Express.

St least I'm not the only one. Seems like if it was the cable company or something I would not be getting Gulfstream at 300k from their website. Mike...appreciate you letting me know what tracks you are able to get broadband at today, if any.
