Having a problem with the download update. Keep getting a msg which offers retry, abort and ignore. The retry only rings a bell, so using ignore fails to updaye. Any ideas?

Not enough info for me.
Which file are you trying to install?
I would try from the beginning again. I would also choose the run/open option.
If you download make sure the file size is about what you would expect it to be.

Downloaded the link on pg 3 of the newsltr. Hit Run, and got the error" an error occured while trying to copy a file": C\HTR_TOUR.EXE.
Also, tried downloading htr2 from scratch, same result.
Not working, Rick.

Steve, do you have regular HTR2 on the computer?
In any case, try downloading the Full Installer (link below)
1) Reboot computer
2) Click the link below
3) Select RUN (not Save) when prompted to install

however, the only option (Vista) is save or cancel:confused:

I have Vista on my other computer and when I click on the link I get Run/Save/Cancel.
Of course you have to go with your reality.
When your only option is to Save or Cancel you save.
Be sure to save it to a location you will remember. I normally save to Desktop so I can delete it after I have installed it.
It could also mean you are running FireFox. :)

With FireFox I would suggest using a right click > save link as > browse to where you want to save and save.
Then run it and delete it after success.

Thanks Rick, that answers a puzzle i had with people on the phone installing; they tell me they only get "Save" as an option when they click the Install link.
It was FireFox
It's not usually a problem, as I have them save it to the Desktop and then run it from there. But now I"m going to ask them to access our website from Internet Explorer or another browser so they can get the RUN or OPEN option.

The latest Windows Secrets recommends using Chrome. Says is operates in a sandboxe.
I'll try the latest version and post back.

Chrome is just as bad as FireFox for installing HTR2 programs.
When I click on an install link I get a message at the bottom of the Chrome screen
"This type of file can harm your computer. Are you sure you want to download? Save/Discard
Once it is saved there is a tab at the bottom of the screen for it. When I click on it I get the Yes/No for running it.
Best way is to click on the down arrow and click on Show in Folder. You can then run it from there and delete it from there.
