Or what the...

1) Computer spits out two possible plays for BEU 8th, #3 or #4. #4 comes up multiple plays, I go with that.
2) #3 goes off 3-1, #4 goes off 25-1. I like that alot.
3) #4 opens up two at the top of the stretch, is holding on nicely when #3 flies by like a rocket. Ouch.
4) Later on I catch another horse, look in YOUBET bet record sheet, and see I SOMEHOW PLAYED THE WRONG HORSE IN THE BEU 8th, I somehow played the 3 instead of the 4. Didn't read my own sheet right.

Guess I'll keep the extra $80 dollars, thank you subconcious/fate/blind luck/stupidity. But IF the 4 would have held on....Ouch and Ouch!!

I'd rather be lucky than right. Being right takes work, being lucky takes, uh, luck?

Gee....nice "redboard" there Canada!. :p

Can''t tell you how many times I've chaged a wrongly punched ticket only to see the wrong horse(the one that was wrongly punched) win. Good thing you didn't yell to loud for the 4..he might have heard you!

Run as fast as you can to bank with a smile on your face!!!!!

Carl:

The other day I handicapped a Laurel race from the day before & hit a $100 exacta! Best hit I had the last couple of days. Might have to try it more often.

Hey Ken...you might be onto something there. Can you send me some of those Montana wobbly pops you use when you're handicapping? :D

One stupid thing that happens to me a lot is I end up either cheering for the wrong race on real player (the 1 X 1 screen gets me every time) or I look up the race wrong in Philly results.

And then I always have a moment of elation when I realize I have not "offically" lost the race yet, since it has yet to be run OR I have looked up the wrong result.

What's funny is this must have happened to me 20-30 times over the last year and I have yet to win one on my "second chance" either. Might as well be watching the replay of the first loser for all the difference it makes. Lose once, lose twice seems to be my motto here.
